The Beginning: All You Coaching!
Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you! ~ Dr. Seuss
It started right here, with ME! Maybe not the “very” beginning, but where this all came from for me.
The truth will make you odd. ~Judy Blume
Here goes…a little about me. Some of you that follow me on social media, or know me in real life may know parts of this…so bear with me 😊
I am a person that will put others first, sometimes to a fault. I am clumsy. I may still laugh in my head when someone calls me an athlete. I am awkward especially when caught off guard, and plenty of other times too! I love with my heart and soul; my entire being. I sometimes do not sleep well; I am told it is because I have a creative mind that refuses to power down. (We will go with that!) Other times I could sleep like its my job!
I tend to hide my feelings (a work in progress). I am the best friend someone could ask for. I am funny and I am sarcastic. I love to dress up and look pretty...for ME. My bullshit detector needs a tune-up. I had to learn to accept compliments. I love what I do, and I do it well.
I used to not know how to express myself. I am a strong individual, I do break.
I love Netflix. I love to be outside. I love music, sweets (especially cotton candy), and vintage clothing. The beach is my happy place. I am passionate about my work, my family, my cats, friends, training, and simply being me!
I focus on joy and love on many levels. Positivity. I learned this is not luck…I manifested and CREATED it.
I am ME. Authentically ALL ME.
In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different. ~ Coco Chanel
This resonates with me… big time. I’m shy. Well, sort of, and few of you know this….if you REALLY know me maybe. Or I may have told you. Sure I can go lecture about something in front of 300 people no problem. Ask me to sing karaoke (good luck).
Growing up we sometimes joked that if my Mom was taller I would probably have hidden behind her for longer!
Finally I just said “What the F&$k” and meant it. (In Risky Business when Miles says to Joel “sometimes you gotta say what the F&$k…”)
I am me. Being shy is something I embrace. I was told “get over it” and other not so kind things….from some people close to me even. I realized quite some time ago…it’s not about getting over it but embracing it. I acknowledge that little shy girl and carry her with me always. In fact she is a part of me. The part of me that actually helps fuel my confidence! Take that!
Being shy doesn’t mean I don’t sometimes like attention either. I don’t have to hide anymore. I haven’t for a long time. Bring it on! Well, for the right reasons….
I used to want to fit in but not completely. Get the must have sweater but something else that was unique to me. Other things too (for another day!)
So yes… I am quirky and shy. I am clumsy and awkward. I am funny. Smart. I love to smile and laugh. I love love. I love my friends and family (and friends that are family), hard. I am not fragile, but I still can break just like the little girl I once was.
I am ME.
The only person who can stop you from reaching your goals is you. ~ Jackie Joyner Kersee
I was not an athlete growing up. Maybe “athletic” and definitely awkward (as I have mentioned!). Though now, it’s different. I am an athlete, and I am grateful to have found an incredible community through sport. I have always worked with athletes in one way or another professionally. I never really considered much more; until I did. When I finally did, I didn’t stop. I started running. I got on the bike with my Dad. I got a swim coach. I got more coaches. I trained for miles. I ran races, I did triathlons. Then one day I didn’t seem to question it when I was referred to as an athlete. It took a bit but I finally tried it on and did not question the fit.
I am still training; not racing as much. I am also a triathlon and running performance coach!
I am ME!
Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is more about being yourself. ~Oscar de la Renta
I have always loved clothing. Finding something a little different to wear; even when all I wanted was to fit in. Something borrowed from a sister. Maybe something vintage from my Mom or Grandma. Maybe a cool handbag. Later moving from something subtle to something more like a statement. Clothing and accessories have always helped me find my groove (or completely lose it too!) Helping me feel confident until I could find it on my own. “Dressing up” and feeling good.
Now it is my style. Part of my lifestyle. Now it may even be me being confident so I wear the clothes? I bet sometimes though…its still the hope that I will get something a little extra from the special piece.
I am ME.
My mission in life is not merely to survive but to thrive and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style. ~ Maya Angelou
So I guess I could continue to ramble a bit, but I also can just continue with more of that later! Haha! I have been drawn to the “Life Coach” profession for some time now. I have worked with coaches and found myself helping many. So naturally when enough people asked or mentioned in ways that I am their life coach or that I should look into it (I already had) Then after having to temporarily close my business during the pandemic, a bike crash, and some other life “growing pains”; I found I really changed or grown. I of course had been there all along, what I gained was a perspective that altered my mindset…and allowed me to see new paths therefore changing my course. I set some goals, made a list…and in the first 5 minutes of the first phone call with admissions…I was already planning more goals! Whoa…slow down girl. I did. I took it all in, and more.
So here I am. I am a Life and Happiness Coach! I help people unleash their potential, find the joy in their happy, ignite that fire by working with them focusing on mindset, performance, self-love, transition, confidence, well-being, and more! What began as a way to further help clients, has become something really special, with so many opportunities to help all of you become more All You!
I am ME. Become All YOU!
All YOU want. All YOU need. All YOU do. Find your passion. Find your Purpose. Find your Power. Find YOU. Live for YOU. In an extension of the Beatles message stating that all you need is LOVE...it begins with YOU.
There's nothin' you can do that can't be done
Nothin' you can sing that can't be sung
Nothin' you can say, but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy
Nothin' you can make that can't be made
No one you can save that can't be saved
Nothin' you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time
It's easy
All you need is love
Love is all you need
There's nothin' you can know that isn't known
Nothin' you can see that isn't shown
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be
It's easy ~ John Lennon & Paul McCartney
